Not gonna grab a 4K TV just yet, but need a new one to tide me over. Will spend around 300-400, needs to be full HD, LED, quite thin, and having backlighting would be good!
Any deals going or any recommendations?

Just bought a 5500 series Samsung. Well impressed. The LG mentioned above was my 2nd choice!

Just grabbed a Panasonic TX-50A400B 50 inch for 450. Didn't think that was too bad, and the reviews seem pretty good so I think that will be the job for a while! Also grabbed a random sound-bar as well.

I wouldn't bother with the 2013 570V posted above, £499 for the 570V is a stupid price, as you can pick up the 2014 LB580V for £100 less.
But personally i'd try and stretch your budget a little and look at one of the 2014 LG 6 series (LB630V*/LB650V/LB670V) TV's as they all offer a better picture over the 5 series and have the new WebOS interface which is pretty damn good (got last years LA660V and the interface is OK, a bit slow when trawling through apps etc).
* Keep an eye out on HotUKDeals; the 630V is usually around £450-499 (42" version) but i have seen deals where it's sub-£400 which is a steal at that price.
