So to fix my Megane front windows I've got the aftermarket eBay regulators, only problem is they are spade connectors onto the motor unit in an awkwardly small space. I tried electrical taping them on but evidently this has now come loose with the general vibrations of driving and open closing the doors and the windows have stopped working again. It's quite unbearable in this current heat because the air con doesn't work either

What's the easiest way of getting the connectors to stay permanently on?

Blob of solder on the end.. Crimp the female end a bit.

Could always do away with the spades and join them properly.

Can't remember if they've got a hole in or not, think a friend may have a soldering kit...

Kippers, when you say properly could you explain? I have no technical knowledge in this area whatsoever, I've only got as far as this by watching YouTube!

You try using inline crimp connectors.

Your best bet would be to get a cheap solder iron for literally a few pounds from somewhere like Maplins or Aldi, solder the two bare end wires together and than get some heat shrink wrap and shrink it over the solder. That way you get a permanent, waterproof connection.
This is what I'll be doing on my kit car

That sounds good... Assume I can shrink it using the missus hairdryer?

Alternatively could use the raw power of the sun at the moment!

Pop the crimp connectors together and give them a squish with some manly pliers
