Is there a way round taxing a car without insuring it? If so, how?

Thats all I want to know really

Just transfer insurance tax it and transfer it back

Yes I have done it a couple of times now. They email u a 1 day insurance certificate, just print if off and take it to the post office

No Marc, its just off ebay, buy, tax, clean and can sit on the drive until I sell.

It's illegal to have a car taxed without insurance, they will send you a fine out pretty sharpish as well

Who did you use Baskey?

I did one day insurance when I collected a Corsa once, I couldn't tax on that policy. The dealer had to register the car to him at the DVLA office and tax it this way.

I don't know what company I used, was years ago.

My local post office doesn't even check the documents now,

Girlfriend recent went and did it with just the log book and mot no insurance certificate,

Don't know if they're more lax than they should be

They don't check because they do it all online afaik.

Its now illegal to own a car thats not insured (if its not sorbed)

I've received a fine for this before after I crashed my first b and took it off the insurance but didn't sorn it straight away
