My boss bought a new machine and got a Silverstone track day thrown in (a bit random, but there you go). My boss isn't in to cars so he let me go. I took the wife as a spectator, but there were a few spare spaces, so the rep got her a go too, which was a real bonus!
We got 5 laps in the GTR, a Ferrari and an Aston and the instructors were surprisingly 'lax' and let us treat the cars as we wished!
The track was quite busty as members of the public were there too in their own cars.
My sum up would be:
Aston- powerful (obviously), but more of a cruiser
GTR- insanely fast, with no lag at all, but too interfering. You could feel it was adjusting itself constantly
Ferrari- the most fun by a mile. Temperamental (in a good way), but made you feel involved in what was happening.
I'm no car critic, lol, but thought some people may be interested ......

Did you have a go in a GTR too? It was a great but weird experience! The technology is ridiculous, but it's more of a safe, fast road car than a thoroughbred race car

You should try the scud 430. It's unreal.
V8 vantage would definitely be the one to take on a long journey. I loved it, but wasn't overwhelmed by it.

I've got one of these for my birthday, just got to pick the date. Ferrari 360, vantage or exige s (which is the quickest by far incidentally)
