Good Evening,
I currently have a pair of Dali Zensor 3's on pillar mounts attached to a Sony AV amp. Now I am looking at the next bit to add to the home cinema.
Is it a good idea to stick with one brand throughout your speaker arrangement? Or can you get a different brand sub and still get a great soundstage?
Any suggestions for under £300? Must be black. Ideally glossy.

No problem mixing brands. My sub is System Audio and all other speakers are Tangent Audio.
Will soon have different rear speakers as well.
I'd try and stretch the budget, if I were you.
Changing to a high end sub has had the biggest impact on my home cinema of anything I've ever done. You wouldn't believe the difference a good sub can make.
As for a gloss black sub, you must really love dusting.
Within your budget, have a look at Cambridge Minx, Q Acoustics 2070i and Monitor Audio MRW10.
I've personally only listened to the former and it's quite alright.
The other two are obvious contenders.

I have the Q Acoustics 2070i and its very very good
Bit of a strange shape but can work well depending on your setup
It gets nice and low and integrates well - but I do have Q acoustics all round

Balling, thank you for the response!
I had failed to revisit this thread after asking. Massive fail on my behalf!
I will get out to Richer Sounds and have a listen to a few of them and see what's what. The Q Acoustics stuff seemed a bit bass heavy for me; hence going with the Dali speakers. I muh prefer the QA styling though and really like the look of the sub so will have to give it a go.
The Dali matched sub is £419 so I might see if I can stretch to that one. Otherwise the QA will be my choice.

Like I said, I'd definitely stretch the budget as far as possible if I were you.
Guessing it's the E-12F sub you're after? Haven't heard it play, but you never really seem to go completely wrong with Dali.
Then again, searching for reviews I stumbled on http://www.bkelec.com/ who seem to do some quality work. Might be worth looking into? The XXLS400 looks to be the one to go for.
Weight of the Dali seems a bit strange, though. 12 kg for a 12" sub seems off. My 8" System Audio weighs twice that much.
