Easiest way to check it out is go to the same garage a few times on the run, monitor how many litres go in and how many miles you complete, then switch to the other garage for a few times.

I noticed a few years back that a full tank from Texaco on the linkway by McDonalds, always seemed to get more miles than a tank from Morrisons in Boundary Road. So despite Texaco being a few pence more per litre, cost per mile was probably very similar.
