Absolutely not. We made that mistake last year which resulted in the door bell ringing all night. Danish kids going trick or treating is an absolute travesty.

We have our own trick or treat-like holiday in february, so now the greedy little fuckers have two days a year to bother people with ringing doorbells and begging for candy.

Kids dress up and go door to door asking for candy (and money, in the good old days) or offering to "make trouble".

Then everybody meets up to "knock the cat out of the barrel", meaning whacking a suspended wooden barrel with a bat until it breaks and spills candy (and a cat, in the good old days). People take turns to give the barrel a whack, and whoever knocks off the bottom is crowned "cat king".
