Would 7J 16" ET49 wheel be fine on a B with no issues tyre size would be 195/40.

Probably touch the damper, 7" wide and ET49 will be quite far in.

I had 16x7 et49 on my old Corsa, there was no more than 1mm clearance between rim and damper so it really would be dependant on the dampers, safer to drop down half an inch if possible. Either that or you're looking at spacers.

Just run a universal 5mm spacer (which you can on standard bolts) and cost pence..

Would 6.5j wheel Et45 with 195.40.16 tyre fit fine?
