How do you cash in your road tax these days? Had a quick look on government website and it tells you how to transfer it etc. I'm picking up a new bus on Monday that's taxed for a year obviously and the car I'm chopping in has six months left and as it was nearly £500 a year I kinda want it back!

Not sure if it's quite the same but I just declared my SORN last week, all online didn't have to do anything else and my cheque appeared in the post today actually. £111 back

Yeah just declare sorn on Internet and they'll refund it may loose a month depending on when you do it

If you are getting rid of the other car then you will be refunded automatically

Only if you sell the car and send the logbook off to the DVLA they will refund you from the date written in the date of sale/transfer section of the logbook if your giving the car to a trader etc or part ex it I would sorn it too be safe incase they take the piss to send logbook off

Yeah just a bit to be fair I truly love the barge but it's getting on a bit now odd bits and bobs are starting to go wrong and having averaged a set of alloys each year due to the pot holed tat they call roads around here.

Be strange going from a 160mph missile to a tractor that'll skip off into the hedge given half a chance, will take a bit of getting use to..

I live in the sticks, it floods, potholes, farm tracks. Plus don't really do much with cars anymore but go all over on mountain bikes and shit like that. Isuzu is great value, pretty new. Hilux are united utilities pick up of choice the Nissan, and Mitsubishi are old now and I can't afford the VW scene tax lol..

For me the dmax is the newest out of them all and has best fuel, towing capacity, load capacity, 125,000/5 year warranty. Plus the dealer I'm buying from has given me a deal none of the others could come remotely close to. As in thousands of pounds worth.
