If you're going to get something on tick buy one of the really modern ones with a switched power-supply (they are much smaller) and they also have super funky colour LCD displays

Any suggestions? Links? i really don't know anything or makes. Just think i need 6-8mm wire and the larger gas bottle instead of the small ones.

I got lucky and got mine cheap from the bloke as he just didn't need it anymore

Keep looking, take a while before picking a machine

And set your budget stick to that

I would think you can get somethin pretty good second hand for 120 ish tops

I use the disposable bottles too as I don't have space for big bottles. £15 for 110 litres of argon mix isn't too bad

Far too many garage pros in here. Your original machine will do you fine. Just get proper bottles.

It's all in the skill/know how anyway not how much money the machine cost.
