I'm in the process of replacing all the brake hoses on my corsa b with braided Teflon hose and fittings, can I just replace the distribution block on the bulkhead with some Y piece connectors or does it split the fluid here into the opposite corners? Reason for asking is the distribution block is corroded badly so would rather just get rid of it all together if possible

the 'in' on the top is the 'out' on the same side irrc, never traced the lines back to find out which side it went to cos i just removed the rears all together and blanked them off....
odd thread fittings though

Ah cool, so as long as I fit 2 T pieces in place of it all should be good! Yeah the threads are fucked hence why I want to get rid of the stupid thing lol

i got rid of that random block and the spring loaded thing welded to a mount on the rear wheel well of the car whicj i also cut out and welded over.
corsa b standard breaking system is wierd.
i have redone my lines in copper and have 2 simple t pieces, a break bias valve ( gte rear disk conversion ) and full goodridge braided hoses. 1000 times better and lets you play and balance the breaks from front to back to your own desire

while we're on the topic, i have a question...
coming out of the master cylinder you have two pipes... what are their exact purpose?
reason i ask is, i only use front brakes as rear arent needed (fwd drag) but iv decided to keep the daft brake block on the bulkhead... all iv done is just blanked it off where the rear pipes would come out but i was questioning if i could use one side front from one of those coming from the m/s and then again the same with the other coming from the m/s
i wasnt sure if one was different to the other so i just kind of kept the original design

I think it has 2 lines that are split diagonally across the car, so that if one fails then there is still a pair of working brakes on the car. I think that's why there's 2 anyways, could be completely wrong mind haha

yeah, i wasnt sure, with mine being only fronts i was going to use one pipe to the left and one to the right but just to be sure i kept them in the block bit and just blanked the rears off
i do remember having bother finding the two different thread fitments though
and just for lol's sake, im only on 1.2 solid discs and calipers as i know everyone on here will love that
brake only slow you down anyway
