I bought a chromecast, i hardly use it, can only really seem to watch youtube or things from my gallery on it.
Any of the on demand stuff doesn't seem to have chromecast option.

Roku stick has streaming type capabilities similar to Chromecast with added benefit of built in Smart TV features, so you don't always need a charged device.
The streaming bit isn't too intuitive though.

better off with a raspberry pi and kodi, install some dodgy add-ons and you get all the tv and films you could wish for
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
