i read my manual and it said the difference betweem the clutch pedal fully pressed and depressed should be 130 mm. And also the clutch pedal should sit slightly higher than the brake pedal
i adjusted by turning the adjustment thingy in the engine, it seems to have adjusted, but now my biting point is at the top of the pedal, whereas before it was in the middle.
when adjusting do you pull the cable and thread bit away from the arm, or do you just twist the thread bit?
the clutch has done 84 000 miles, so it probably should be at the end of it's life.
does n e one know how much a new clutch would cost, the engines a 1.4 16v, does the engine have to come out for the job?
who can do it as well, is it best to go to vauxhall?

on my Dad's driving school cars in the past the clutch has needed replacing after about 65k, but it is a driving skool car remember. Depends on the cars history whether the clutch will have gone after 84k

yeah i thought they were self adjusting, but the guy i had me MOT with said i should adjust it slightly?
n e way if they r self adjusting, does that mean if i fook it up it will adjust itself back to how it should be?
Some geeza from the AA said that vauxhall clutches generally last about 90K so that what i was goin on.

another thing on the subjuect of clutches, on my last car i had a worn out thrust bearing where the clutch made an odd noise when fully pressed.
But on this car i have a high pitched humming noise when the clutch is not pressed i.e in neutral, whcih disapperars when the clutch pedal is pressed.
Whats that then?
