I have just had both turbo's replaced by BMW on my 335i and wasn't sure if I need to run them in so to speak; logical not to boot it from day one but wondering if there is anything else I should do? They didn't say anything when I picked it up; and I forgot to ask!!

Cheers

As long as they did the pre-lube of the bearings. you can just plant it straight away.

You might get some smoke from the turbo but thats normal

No need to run them in. Just fit and go. My new one was running 2 bar within 10 miles of being fitted.

Not really. It's a small-ish stock frame turbo so I have a little bit more power but still keep stock spool

Car had BMW warranty so was £100 excess; otherwise would have been around £3500!

Cars gone now anway; some what fell out of love with it!!
