I currently use the Megs tyre gel, applied with a sponge. Good stuff and lasts quite a long time. I prefer it to the Autoglym spray on stuff.

I've been using the AG stuff for the last 10 years(applying it onto a polishing pad & rubbing it round the tyres) always looks mint but doesn't last very long.
Only found out after talking to an AG rep at the office last week that I've been doing it wrong all these years, because apparently your supposed to spay it all over the tyres as a fine mist and then let whatever goes over the alloy just evaporate. So tried that and it went all over the disc, calliper, arch, rear qtr, spoiler and just ended up evergwhere.
I have been tempted to swap to the Meg Tyre Dressing

That's the issue I found with it. You'd spray it on and it would need wiping off other parts. Then when you drive off it just splatters off the wheels onto the body. Never lasted very long either.
Megs gel lasts a lot longer and you don't get splatter.

You do get splatter with Megs and it leaves a cartoonish shine, does last a fair while though.

It only splatters on the bodywork if you drive off without letting it dry. I leave it overnight now and have no problems anymore.

There is a distinct lack of shine on that tyre. Personal tastes and all that, but I prefer shiny forecourt style tyres.
I stuck loads of the stuff on my new tyres as they were too matte for my liking. Proper weird.

Just tried Juicy Details Iced Apple tyre gel as a sample. Not as sticky and doesn't go everywhere as its a gel. smells like apple too
