Had thread a few weeks ago on here asking what to look out for when buying an old Corsa. Well, after looking at this one I decided it needed work, but wasn't too bad, and after agreeing a suitable price, I bought it.
Needs tidying and I hope to get the engine rebuilt and outside tidied up with a respray etc. Anyone know how much an engine rebuild would be? My aim is Billing 2017.
The car was originally from England, then in Northern Ireland, and recently it's been in the South of Ireland as you can tell by the plates. I'll be trying to get it back on the English reg.

Aye, I have the old tax book, cheers Ian. Think I should be able to transfer it to an English reg for no cost, and hopefully I will get the original one. Have a lot of paperwork regarding this at the house to look through.

Bet you're looking at £4-5 for a rebuild and respray depending on level of job you want doing and how much work it actually needs.

@Tiger - If I could spend £4-5 grand and it would be sitting mint I would do it. Bought this car to keep it.
Yeah Ian, will have to start a thread over Christmas. There was probably more Nova Sports than there were GSi Corsas at Billing lol

Nice, another red one looks to be in pretty good shape.
I thought that southern Ireland hate the English .... would an english plate not encourage vandalism etc?
I will have to get mine ready for billing 2016

Not really, a Southern Irish plate in Northern Ireland would be more likely to encourage vandalism, but not really worth worrying about these days.
Cheers folks.
