Performance has gotten boring and irrelevant these days, a granny car will do 110mph and no one actually seems to achieve that on day to day driving.

to be fair that comment couldbe applied to any car

look at the size of a fiesta - its bigger than a mark 1 focus.

Not on the 1 series.

You're assuming 100% of people know what a 1 series with a twin exhaust means

It doesn't look like the rest of them...

You'd have to be a real BMW Nerd to a) give a fuck about that, and (b) actually notice and realise it means something

That's exactly why I like it. It's understated although if you know you know.

Noise is good but once specs are added it's an easy 40k which for a 1series is silly money!!

Add a few select options and for £350 a month you can have a decent spec.

http://babybmw.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=80

I wuld register with babyBMW so you a forum member - its free

then contact Tony goes by TRL on the website - so helpful and very transparant

but basically its 1k down and 299 a month for a 3 door solid colour MT, for every 1k you spend you get around £25 increase in monthlies

also a good thread on options and impact in GFV - very little have an impact

Only options i went for were sun protection, comfort pack and heated seats

I would probably have had adaptive but as the wife will use it 90% time it would be wasted

Comes with LEDs, Nav, leather, Performance Brakes, black panel display etc as standard

If I could put more than 1k down and have lower monthly payments I could be tempted by that. Its the fear of having so many monthly outgoings when I move that's scaring me.

Think I read on there for every extra £1000 on the deposit you save about £22 a month. Thanks for the link, all the once I've been looking at want at least a £4K deposit

On PCP the less deposit is better - you will basically lose that so unless you can save he 4K over the duration on the PCP it's stupid to put more money in

It will lower your monthlies but doesn't protect the initial deposit and the Gfv or balloon payment is the same for a 4K deposit or 1k deposit

This is why PCP gets bad press because people put down 4K and come trade in they make a bit of money or break even but not recover the 4K

I went for AW, autobox, comfort pack, pro nav and heated seats. All for less than 350 with 1.5k down. I looked at a used M135i from BMW but because the interest rate is lower on new cars and the deal is so good it was £10 a month more for a new one. No brainer.
