gsi is an gearbox off job so i'd say about 5hrs labour +parts

oh brilliant im begining to hate owning a gsi now fcuked off with all the hassel of things allways taking longer on them!! might sell it and get a corsa sport !!!

the 1.6 sport is a box off job too due to the diameter of the clutch plate

The sport and Gsi are the same job.

Clutch is about £70 for a new (not re-covered) 3 peice kit from autovaux.

5 hours labour is a bit excesive, you can swap a whole engine in a day!

Dealers charge about £40 an hour, smaller garages about £25.

may only take an hour but dealers will charge the book time which is 5 hrs i think
