After quitting my old job I went out with the lads from work last Friday. I only really get drunk a few times a year at most but when I go out, I treat it as a massive blow out and always go over the top.
By no means proud, I don't remember leaving the first pub or anything else past that point or for the following 5 hours. I'm cut and bruised from head to foot and this seems to be pretty standard now whenever I go out and have a blowout.
I've accepted my days of getting drunk are over now as I don't think I'm safe anymore. The exact same thing has happened the last 3 times I've been out (which covers the past year really).
Quite embarrassed to be fair, though I didn't do any harm to anyone else, it's really no fun anymore, hence why I'm not stopping drinking , but I am no longer going to get drunk....

I don't drink often maybe once or twice a month. Never suffer from hangovers though

Since having a baby I hardly ever go out. Still have a few drinks at home at the weekend though; just a bit tipsy does me fine.
When I'm out with mates now I basically ease off whenever I start feeling drunk, I'm not really a fan of the feeling any more. Maybe it's because I'm always up early doing something on a Sunday now rather than just laying in bed for hours like a few years back!
Did get back from a festival last year though and was throwing my guts up...
