Hi I have a 55 plate 1.2 twinport which has developed a misfire, its been into a local garage who say its oil contaminated the ecu so needs a new ecu.
What do I need to be aware of if I buy an ecu from a breaker?
Can I simply plug & play another ecu?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, its my daughters car & I have full history from new so don't want to scrap it but been quoted £600+ by a vauxhal dealer

Not 100% sure on c's but you should be fine, you just need an ECU, you will also need the four digit number on the card that came with your car then it can be coded to the car by vauxhall. Only other thing I can think is if the car has an immobiliser you'll need to reprogram the keys which might be a pita.

Wrong.
Need full set ideally as very expansive to program.
As Speedo and transponder and bcm module have to match too.
