Three women die after M-way smash
Three women have been killed in a crash on the M25 motorway, after they got out from their car.
It is believed the women had got out of their vehicle and were stood in one of the lanes when they were hit by another car.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said the accident happened on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 8, Reigate and Junction 9 Leatherhead. A fourth woman, who was still in the car, suffered only minor injuries.
She said: "The circumstances appear to be that a silver Peugeot 206 stopped in Lane 4 of the carriageway. Three of the four females occupants of the car got out. They were then struck by a white Mercedes panel-van, which was then in collision with an MG sports car, which was on the hard-shoulder."
Two of the three women were pronounced dead at the scene and the third was taken to Epsom Hospital where she died from her injuries.
The fourth women, who remained in the car, was treated at the hospital for relatively minor injuries.
The van driver was treated for shock and the MG driver was unhurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses and the clockwise carriageway is expected to remain closed until later tonight.

OMG thats terrible.
BUT what were they doing getting out of their car on the motorway??? You should alwas try and pull over onto the hard shoulder.

I would if it was an accident that they had no control over!!
There are people like this that will probably kill you or me on the roads.
My condolences to the familys though.
