i wont be stripping the 106, its still got 2 be a day to day car for me, plus its quite light anyway.
160bhp is my target for the short term, but throttle bodies could be in the pipeline at a later date

See SXi boy, a resonable conversation can be held when theres no trouble from certain members.
160bhp in the 106 is obtainable. But i would advise stripping it as it gives some great times. We had a guy in a 1.6 16v Saxo and the Corsa Saxo do do about a 6.5 0-60 running around 140bhp odd and a bare shell Only had like an exhaust, manifold, ram air (130bhp model).

yeah Pauls car. he can launch very good but his car was stripped bare. 160 in the 16V engine requires cams, manifold, exhaust, decat, filter, UNICHIP

yeh i remember that saxo, i would probably take a few bits out (rear bench, spare wheel etc) if i was goin up the strip anyway.
im goin 2 try n get hold of a 130bhp gti (i duno wot reg/year they are but its exactly the same as the saxo) then get full stainless grp a system with de-cat, gmc manifold (non ss) ecosse ram air filter, dastek unichip, and some cams.
also im guna have a set of leightweight 15's for the strip/track
steve did a 15.5 1/4 mile @ 90mph on sat and his mods are just full grp a. with decat and taipan filter (he could have gone faster aswell cos his launches were shit )

I wouldn't trust any Q-Mile times apart from Santa Pod. Thats deffo accurate!
130bhp models I think are very rare. Did they do them in the Pugs? Thought it was just a select few saxos?
Vibrio, its Paul, nickname on SSC is Pauley or summit?

But it seems the 130bhp version is a cracking lump from standard. Search for one.
Its like my car. Took me 6 months to find the car i've got (looked at 2 others in 6 months!!!), but in the end, it was worth the wait
ADAM, WHY HAVE YOU CLOSED THIS THREAD?? WERE GETTING ALONG FINE NOW. NO POINT IN CLOSING IT ALL.
