Good advice by Sam. Get on the blower to all the Recruitment agencies near you and get some temporary work while u r tryin to find a permanent job.

The company i work for run a small recruitment agency but we r in Sheffield

yeah do some temping then you can get the experience u need and sometimes u fall into jobs by chance etc

I've just finished uni and my parents are pushing me to get on it beofre I get a job - how do you go about it and is it worth it?

Do you just turn up at the job centre and ask to be put on it? I only finihsed uni on Friday - does this matter?

Um.... if your old enough to go on the dole don't u think that you're old enough to make a decision as to whether you should get a job or not?! IMO anyway. I know for a fact that my parents would prefer me to get a job (even if it's not that great pay) instead of being on the dole!
