misses cousin did her PHd in York, but the dummy just quit 6months before graduating.

Least with a PHd you will get recognised a wee bit more like you said. Just can you be arsed to study for 3 yrs?

PhD is like doing what I am doing the now but with less pay and better conditions. then I write another thesis at the end and get a viva.

Golden egg?? I wont ask mate.

The thing is the proffesion i'm in is big(Lifting gear service engineer) but there are not many company's up to the job and if you do well the best company's offer you a job.Simple really.

I'm earning 17K at the moment but in 3 years when i learn the ins an outs of the field i'm now in it will be more like 23-24K.I was just a Lifting gear engineer origionally.

Oh and my highest tax was £400

£1200 just takes the piss That's what i get payed almost.
