depends if its a strain or a tear...there are three part to the hamstring...a centre and two surroundings...on outside and inside of leg...I tore the outside section...pain was kinda like a small ball of pain inside my leg...really sore...took me ages to get over it...you need to use hot and cold on the affected area...use ICE packs to cool and a hot water bottle to warm up...the cold and warmth...

as I say if its a tear your fcuked...if its a strain it will be a week or two and you will be ok...
