Need a wee bit of advice, I am buying some neons to put inside the door panels where the speakers are to shine out the grill which i think will look neat, but what i want to know is, how will i connect more that one neon car lighter socket into the one cigratte lighter????
I have no problems about cutting them off and soldering several neons onto the one cigarette lighter plug but do they have any resitors etc in the plug??
I dont want some expensive neons exploding their goo in the car!
Also, can i just wire them into the wire behind the ciggy lighter? so i have the lighter too and its neater?

you gotta be careful cos several neon tubes have the starters in the cigarette lighter plugs

Whats an invertor?
Can i not just wire a switch in the line somewhere or is a starter something different?

its more than likely a transformer that steps down the voltage, but a lot of neons are 12v anyway.
The starters actually activate the neon tube, havent u seen the huge flourescent tubes in schools or factorys that flicker when being turned on? Thats the starter doing its work.

not a problem m8y.
get a proper set of neons and you can cut the fag lighter end off and 'hard' wire in.
what neon were you after???
have you thought of using neon wire to give a 'glow'?
