Im trying to find a local centre - theres plenty of water round here but the Royal Yachting Association doesnt list any at all.
Ive sent em an email now so hopefully the should come round with something....
When i go travelling the world i wanna be able to do a bit of crewing - at least i can see a bit more of the world then without the expense.

I am a level 4 sailing/windsurfing instructor; I also used to sail for the laser youth squad for 2 seasons and Ive got 3 boats a laser radial, laser 2 and a laser 4k.... on top of that I crew a few racing yachts down at uni where Im studying yacht and pwoercraft design - Basically I am what u can call a saily person.
If I were u Id either book a course at teh national watersports centre at Plas Menai in wales, go to sunsail in either scotland or port solent in portsmouth,
or go in the yellow pages and find ur local sailing club/watersports centre; from there just enquire about whats available - make sure u book with an RYA approved centre.
I would say the most important thing to do is to have a few sailing lessons in double handers with a sailing instrustor to pick up the basics b4 jumping into a competent crew or day skipper course
