Roughly what 0-60 and quarter mile times would my mates 2litre 8v 130bhp (from cav sri) get? It used to be a 1.4 8v sri.
Has anyone else got this conversion? Is the 16v engine in there a lot better?

8 or 9 secs 0-60 i'd imagine, and probably about 18secs quarter mile
16v... lots better, up to 70bhp better

Its a 2litre one, im sure this car does 0-60 in around 7 secs but after that its slower. Theres so much torque in the low gears.

U'll be looking at a q-mile in around 16-16.5 seconds, and to hit 60 in around 8 seconds, should top out around 130mph..
Or if your loudgirl, it does 140mph.
1v is the much better engine though. But the 8v is cheaper, and still quite tuneable, and if it fcuks up, u can always go down to local scrappy and get the new parts for feck all, where-as the 16v parts are much more expensive.

I agree with you totally about the 16valve engine being better i told him to put that one in but he did not listen. What sort of times do you lot get from the 16 valve engine in then?
