Thinking about getting these components possibaly next week.
Infinity Reference - 6.5" 90w RMS / 270w peak.
1. Will 6.5" speakers fit behind the standard Corsa B door card speaker grill if I use the Autoleads adaptor ring?
My current 5.25" speakers are very tight and drivers side touches/rattles the grill.
2. I don't really know much about amps etc.
My current speakers are just wired to my Sony H/U. It doesn't sound as good as I'd like tho, and are drowned out by my 6x9's all the time.
So what amp should I use (do u recommend) to run these speakers off?
Also, should I amp the 6x9's aswell (need a 2nd amp?) or continue running them off the Sony H/U?
Thanks very much.

why don't u get a 4 channel amp, with at least 75w RMS per channel.
feed each component 75w RMS.
find a nice sub box, bridge the remaining 2 channels to power the sub.
ditch the 6x9s. If u HAVE to use em, then only power em with the H/U.
I used astra adaptors for these comps. they fit alrite.

Cheers for your suggestions Inta.
I can't really afford to buy subs aswell as new components just now, and the 6x9's are fairly new.
I know now from experience that 6x9's aren't the best idea and I won't be using them in future cars. I might ditch them later if I can afford it but right now I have them so I have to make the best of what I've got.
Can you recommend a good 2 channel amp that would run these components?

Would an Infinity amp be best to run Infinity Speakers?
I can get this one for about £100.
Would it be good for these speakers?
INFINITY RA7502
75 watt RMS, 2ch amp. 220 watt RMS bridged power output.
Continuously variable active crossover. Bass boost. Stable with 2ohm speaker leads

I like Infinity throughout - don't know why! I liked the look of that amp too.
My speakers begin to distort at about 66% of my headunits volume (its a 50w per channel HU) - I'm guessing an amp will stop this?

seems a good amp for £100
I am using a 4 channel clarion amp 90w per channel (max)
mav - it could be that your headunit is disorting mine starts to distort around 75%

Probably is - but by the time it's up there (with the doors shut as is normally the case) its so loud it's good enough for what I want it for.
If I bought an amp it would be for imrpoved quality only, and I think for what I use it for, and the road noise, I can't really justify buting one - yet

Just had a thought, I dunno if it matters...
I would've thought the amp should be more powerful than the speakers?
amp = 75w RMS per channel
comps = 90w RMS per speaker
Am I wrong or should I choose another amp?
Please explain, it's the only way I'll learn

No that will do fine... Be sure not to set the gains of the amp so it clips though. Some people run these components off of h.unit power!!
