As some of you may know i bought myself a Mark 4 Astra a couple of weeks ago. It's a 1.6 16 valve SXi.
What do you think would look good on it? I don't mean a bodykit cuz i can't afford that, but like the lenses on the back of the car (or whatever you call em?) do you think a darker colour would look good? Or maybe a clip on bit for the exhaust?
My cousins boyfriend has done some stuff to his Corsa and he put these white lenses on it, but they were really cheap ones and they aren't clipped on properly and it looks tacky. So i don't want cheap ones. What's the dearest? That's if you can get different makes!?

did you know...........
astra 1.6 16v has the EXACT same 0-60 figure as a 1.4 16v corsa......
and shittier mpg
but more bhp
and i think a few mph more top speed.

No i didn't know that! What's mpg?
I know it's got more bhp cuz i had a 1.4 16v Corsa before the Astra and yeh it has got a few more mph as well|!

I've registered on there, but it won't let me login. I e-mailed them and asked why and they said it's cuz i use AOL to access the internet, but i don't. I use NTL!!!

Corsa 1.4 16v 90 bhp , 112 mph, 10.5 secs, 40mpg.
Astra 1.6 16v 100bhp, 118 mph, 10.5 secs, 38.2 mpg.
ive got a 1.4 16v corsa and i got 10.3 secs 0-60 yesterday. (its completely standard). and my mpg figures are well below 40. i dunno if its my car or my driving.
i seem to get same miles for £10 whether i drive slowly or rip it around!

The Irmscher rear clusters are nice!
There are some nice rear spoilers out there too... I like the Evo ones!

I agree Sooty, i prefer my Astra to the Corsa i had.

just get some 19" kahns on it rss or rsrs , look the fcuking bollocks , am saving up 4 an astra 3 dr ! but still aint got enuf £££ yet , will have 1day soon tho , when i win lotto

no i wud not want a bertoone !(sweet loving its the coupe 1 , the longer one than normal astras)
although yes if i won the lottery i wud get an astra defiantly , i love theses cars so much! nice 3dr siver, engine modded to fcuk , tinted windows , lowered 40mm , maybe hydrolics , rolling on 19"kahn rsrs !
back seats taken out ,nice chrome roll cage , with a wkd install ! and a nice kit on it ! , nice and subtle! 
thats what i wud do if i won £££ , or what i will b doin when ive saved up!

My mates got a red 1.8 16v SXi.
Hes just got a Reiger front bumper, Carzone skirts and a Reiger rear difuser.
Clear rear lights, fully colour-coded with a GSi spoiler.
Hes got 18 inch Dare V-2's, Eibach shocks and springs a DVD system and its gonna be a feature car.

yeh they r nice as fcuk and no ur insurance dont go up from tinting ur windows!
if i were u thats what i wud get nxt , then some 18-19" alloys , then lower it (40mm) then get an irmshire kit or start wi front bumber then skirts then rear bumper if u cant afford it all at 1ce , then get some lexus or colour coded lights or as ojc sed some clears!
then buy two racing seats , cobra ,sparco cobeau ect ect (chris@speedfreex on here will sort u out wi seating)
and then , its install time , any decent install will be ok , dont get cheap crap go for sumart betta , like jbl, jl , cerwin vega ect ect , (the more u spend the betta quality it will sound! -also remember when u r kitting it out wi audio u need a material called dyna-mat (there is many similar products like brownbread ectect) this will stop ur car rattling and distorting and sounding sh*t!)
then u have a very nice car and will then probibly go onto crashing it!

Nice looking cars, but it is a bit lardy for a 1.6 to be serious about performance. My mate has one from work and its not much of a challenge for my Sport. It has the X16XEL engine and is closely related to the X16XE engine from the Corsa Sport/GSi 1.6 apart from a longer inlet manifold tract and de-tuned which shows why its only 100bhp.

The 1.8 16v is 125bhp with 125 lb/ft of torque.

only probem is they have a flat spot dont they!
but they aint common modded 1s which is good and take very little to get em lookin good!
