mine does it, is fcuking loud bangs like a rally car, i h8 it, only does it when cold and is running rich

it has a k&n panel filter and drilled box. is it dodgy leads?

i think its because of the K&N and the choke, its gets too much air, so gives the car too much fuel and thats what causes the backfires.. well thats how i justify it

yeah i'v notiched that mines makes that pop after i'v fitted a K&N cone, i went to halfords and got some new spark plugs that did nothing, so i reckon it could be the spark leads or the spark plug gap.

mine started to do it now you can here the pipercross filter sucking in loads of air when you startup and when you blip the throttle a poping sound comes from the zorst

Not sure if this will help... but try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a while or removing the fuse. I don't know if vauxhalls work out the amount of air instuff but i've been playing with hondas recently which recailbrate themselfs when reset...
worth a shot I suppose

i havent reset mine thought i might get away with not doing it. the filter and exaust have been on bout 6 months now will it make a difference ?????

won't know until you try its not that big a deal resetting it just goto leave it running for 5 mins without touching it till it sorts itself out
