is it wise to wire up sidelights inside the speaker pods on the doors?

would wiring be the same as it were for leds.

how many amps will the bulbs draw?

A 5w bulb @ 12v will draw less than half an amp. Yeah, should be ok to wire them up in there, as long as the bulb doesn't touch anything that will melt etc.
Wiring it will essentially be the same as LED's, depending on how many bulbs you want to put in, ie if you use two, a 2A fuse will be fine, if you use four, you'll need a 5A. But as led's draw less current, you will 'get away' with a smaller fuse

but a fuse is nothing so it dont realy matter, where u getting a sidelight bulb holders from?
