Come on... Whitley aint that bad, I quite like it actually!

The web site is funny but where else can you go drinking in the 'Hairy Lemon' with a load of 16 year olds

Lack of sportswear hits local charves

ah diving naa whet aahm gunna dee leek, ahh cannit dee withoot me stripeee jumpas leek Due to the outbreak of Sars in the far east, supplies of stripey charve sweaters has been drastically reduced. Reports are coming in that the main supplier in Taiwan has closed its sweatshops for fear of workers contracting SARS.

Unfortunatley this has had a spin off effect with hundreds of local undesirables prowling around front street looking for people to rob of their treasured stripes.

One local resident spanner - Steve Threfalsth of hip hoop fame commented "ah diving naa whet aahm gunna dee leek, ahh cannit dee withoot me stripeee jumpas leek."

It seems that the poor residents of Monkseaton must be cursed, especially as the ragies are still coming to terms with effects of war with Iraq, and the resulting lack of knocked off imported ben sherman gear.

Contingency plans have been drawn up by the whitley charve council that involve amongst other things, banning the pracitce of giving sweaters to charity shops in the area.

The Whitley Bay Citizen will keep you informed of all developments.
