Memo: We're having an affair
July 9, 2003
EMPLOYEES of a London travel agency will be forced to report their affairs with co-workers under new guidelines.
Under a rule about to be introduced, if staff of unequal status at Thomson Travel become romantically involved they need to report it to the company immediately.
Bosses will then take steps to keep them apart in the office.
According to Thomson, the aim is to prevent anyone who is sleeping with the boss from getting special treatment in the office as a result.
Many of Thomson's 11,000 workers are often required to go on business trips to exotic resorts with colleagues.
