Right, About a month ago i was caught speeding by one of those mobile speed traps, a few days later when the notice of intended prosecution arrived (by recorded delivery) i did the dutyful thing and filled the form in and sent it off, a few days later it came back, sayin i didnt fill it in properly (didnt date it) and gave me another 21 days to fill it in and send it back, But this time it didnt come by recorded delivery, what happens if i just say "I sent that back ages ago" surely there is no proof i ever recieved it. Probably a long shot, but what u guys think...

You could say you never got. It might buy you some time, but probably not worth it in the end.

mate the same thing happend to me, althought nothing came by recorded delivery, i didnt sign it , it came back , threw it in the bin , been a good few months now

Fill the date in (actually, get some one else to fill the date in incase they say its a form of signature) and send it back, don't sign it and say you want to take it to court.
Hopefully the evidence cant be used and if in court they say that you dated it you'll just be able to say someone else dated it and you don't want to incriminate yourself by saying who dated it.
Would recomend speaking to a lawyer though cos im only guessin!

Send a cheque for a pound over the amount, they cannot cash it so keep sending you the cheque back, so do the same again etc.
