When i had 17s on my old corsa they rubbed on the rear arches and that was lowered 35-40mm. You will need minor rear arch mods. Take off the plastic outer arches about 5 or 6 10mm nuts on inside. Draw a line with a marker pen just below the holes where the plastic arch threads go through and angle grind off up to the line then tap the lip out and underseal the bear metal. Then with a sharp knife get your plastic outer arches and cut the lip off where it curls in so they are flat. Put the plastic arches back on using a good silicon glue. Put you plastic nuts back on and grind off the rest of the thread that is showing on the top middle 3 threads. Now it will only scrub with people in the back on bumpy roads.

If there et45 you'll be fine witha -40mm drop! I was on my et45.
the closer you are to et49 the easier it is to go lower

u do realise everytime u hear that buffing sound the tyres rip off all the underseal in the arch leaving bare metal exposed to rust?

Heres mine down 75 mm on 17s, 55mm at the back. Im either trimming the arches or selling the wheels (u2u me offers), it rubs on full lock.
