Does anyone know what engine is in this car? I was out in one on saturday (passenger only). It achieved 60mph in first gear (it's a 3 speed auto I think), and acceleration... it felt like I was in a jet plane or something!

I think it has a 2.9 V6 engine?

I personally never know you could buy a Cossie with an auto box!

your right m8 2.9 v6 built by cosworth, it used to be a fav with the traffic cops.

210bhp out of a 2.9 V6?

The Vectra GSi is 190-odd bhp and that's only a 2.5 V6 innit?

the GSi engine is a more tunned engine. ford could probably extract more hp from that engine but at what cost. mpg, emisions, price increase, insurance increase. could the car handle the power etc etc
