I want to get a couple of subs, and possibly a couple of amps from www.thezeb.com, but they say they dont ship to the UK. I have a couple of mates in america, and they do free shipping to there, but i went to ups.com and i got a quote of $400 to send a 90lb package over here. Surely there must be a cheaper way to do it?! Does anyone know, or has anyone had any stuff sent from america? The main reason i want to do it is cos the subs are reduced from $750 each to $260, but if its gonna cost me almost £300 to send em, then i might have to rethink

http://www.hmce.gov.uk

Anything over £18 in value or £36 in value for gifts will attract duty and/or VAT at customs in the UK (and excise duty if you are importing tobacco products/spirits etc.).

That sentence sounds a bit ambiguous Chris... "They were gonna charge me £90 to ship a kit to South Africa for £100"?
