ok, my car is lowered 60mm all round, new shox and spings the lot. ive just put 17's on and it rubs like hell on the back when i go over small bumps!
i was wondering if there like a small bump stop or somethin i can get to stop the car lowering its self (the arch onto the outside of the tyre) so much when i go over bumps?
the arches are already beaten as much as they can be
or if anyone's got any other solutions that done invlove small wheels or higher suspension

what offset are the 17's?
have you removed the top 2 bolts from each arch?

yeah its been debolted. i think the offset is 40, it doesnt rub wit anything noramally, or touch anything.
the wheels are 7j wide

If you got adjustable suspension set the rear to there hardest setting although it will fuck the handling, so not really a good idea, mod the arches only solution

you said your car scrubs when you hit a small bump what stuyw is reccomending only protects your shocks from bottoming out and causing damage, your suspension wont be bottoming out its the tyre rubbing you need to mod the arches

Yeah things to put in springs to reduce the flex, e.g. people use em towing caravans... Check Demon Tweeks, they do ef for 20/30 quid i'm sure...

its because u have a crap offset. dont touch the suspension u will end up regretting it. u might damage the dampers. u need et 45-49 alloys. best thing to do if u have done everything to your arches that u can is to give a company called "elite" a call. they machine wheels to wot ever offset u need.
01708 525 577. see wot they can do 4 u. id say its your only option apart from a big arch kit or new wheels

you can only machine wheels a couple of mm's, say et42-43 max, otherwise you weaken the bolt face of the wheel
it might just be enough to cure your problem though
