Is it really any louder than a K&N? Cheers

Biggest advantage with the BFO is its size.

It has a greaer surface area so therefore less restriction... but it also is longer than the K&N and so possitions over the wheel arch where lies a nice denser colder air supply from the frong of the wheel arch.

When coupled with a couple of air feeds you will have the same setup as me, and i like it

It's simple:

BFO cone is 200 by 230mm

Most K&N equivilants are half the size

twice the size, twice the noise!

Also the BFO cone is a vector induction which is better than a lot of k&ns

What is the big deal with the viper kits anyway?

Standard Pipercross filters have a flat cap end to them.

The Vector cone is an inverted spun alloy cone fixed in the end of the filter - the theory being that as air enters the filter, it is directed into the inlet pipework, rather than send it swirling around in the filter for a bit.
That's the theory anyway - it looks cooler tho
