Was for sale as complete engine. Something in head broke and as i am putting 2.0L in soon. Dont see the point in spending more money on it.
It has had a rebore, new oversize pocketed pistons, crank regrind, lightened and balanced crank and flywheel, new main and big end bearings, all new gaskets, new water pump and oil pump, block painted black. Also Gear box for sale off Corsa GSi. Offers??? Will be ready for collection at end of this month.

It will run fine with your head on it. The problem is in my head and it hasnt effected the bottom end. I spent £1400 on a full rebuild 2 months ago but i dont want to spend any more money on the head because i am getting a 2.0L put in. Just trying to get what i can for block. Looking for £350ish

Hi Ed . It err taps very loud, louder than an old fiesta push rod engine that hasnt had the tappets adjusted for 200000 miles. Its got a broken hydraulic follower and its also damaged the exhaust cam shaft. Gonna need 16 new lifters and cam kit to sort. £500+ . Can get a valver for that.

Hmmm i know. I am gonna try and sell it for £500 - 600. Dont want to spend anymore on that engine. I will put the stuff i need to get the valver in and running on my new credit card and pay some of it off when i sell the engine then i can start to mod the 2.0L

Why does it need 16 new lifters if only one is broken? They are only about £6/7 each new...

I've got some good condition standard cams for sale.......

The bloke that did the rebuild said to replace them all incase another one goes. If you put 16 new ones in it wont tap and they will all wear evenly.

Look on a map.
Follow the A1 up from London until you get to Newark then take the A46 to Lincoln. Easy.
