Thanks Gambit,

Is there a 'diy' way to temporarily repair alloys before you get them refurbed professionally?

You'd better

Seriously though for £200 when there over £500 new is a bargain. They may have scratches and a few marks, but aslong as they havent been properly kurbed, then theres nothing to worry about

About the valves i wouldnt worry about it. Most of the time when they take the tyres off the rims they pull the valves out anyway, and they'll be included in the cost of fitting the tyres and balancig them anyway .

http://www.mytyres.co.uk Should come in handy for tyres. £41.80 for 195 45 16 Toyo T1-S Proxes at the minute

If you do buy them and decide against fitting them let me know, cause i'd love a set of em

Thanks guys

Im getting them delievered for free at 11am tomorrow, then its on to tyre hunting

Can't believe my luck - hit counter on Ebay reads just under 300 but only one bid apart form me, guy said there were lots of enquiries but no offers.

I asked you lot about them last week but didn't say they were on Ebay as I dind't want the extra competition!

£165 is £40 a wheel - the tyres are gonna cost more than the alloys!

I'll post pics as soon as thee fitted.

I still can't beleive I managed to get them so cheap - not only did i manage to stumble across the auction, but no other bids and a cheap price, and delivery.

If they turn up tomorrow I stil won't beeleive it - I'll have to keep looking at them!

Also this thread has had so many Views and so many ppl like the softstars - I also feel quite guilty

I'llpo st pics if they turn up

BTW Mytyres.net have a 03.03.2004 date next to the proxies, ive asked but no reply yet - are they out of stock?
