Whenever I refuel, the pump constantly cuts out, the only way is to hold the handle really lightly which takes ages, and bloody Tesco's pumps cut out after 3 mins Oh well worth it for 70.9p Anyway, what could be the problem? Unleaded by the way.

mine did this once, i think it put fuel in for 30 secs cut off like it was filled, did it 4 times, never done it again tho.

Mine does it every time. Cuts out straight away constantly. Pain in the arse. Any ideas ppl, is it gonna be anythin major? Cheers

as Adam says, its a problem with the return pipe
idea is as you put fuel in, the air displaced is pushed out thru this tube, if it aint functioning then the air trys to come back up the filler neck and pushes fuel back into the pump which then triggers the overflow sensor in the pump

Ok, thanks. Does anyone know how much a new return pipe is, and does it take long to fit?
