no not always.
i am main driver. cos mum has two policies with the same company they asked questions.
and vibro no i aint got a b4 graph. ill have one in two weeks.

u can be a named driver on a policy but stil be the main driver....
my ex was on my policy as it was cheaper but he was down as driving the car more than me hence MAIN DRIVER

wot no proof that my car is standard at the moment.
all i got is a drilled airbox and a backbox.
dont think im gettin much bhp from just that.
hence 106bhp
i got a graph of the 115bhp but since then the chip was taken off. and is staying off due to the above post

I got quote for ma clio 16v (getting in spe hopefully) under my name (no other dirvers added) it was £1100, tried adding my mum as a named driver...still me as main driver £850 how gay is that...

yes this is because the car is a lower risk because someon other than yourself will be driving

maybe i couldnt get a quote on an audi A3 turbo, or a corsa GSI in my name.
so instead of driveing a shit heap around i will go on mums policy as main driver and get the car i want.
im going in my name on 14th feb 2004 - my 21st.
and we all dont live in low crime post codes.
i come under bristol/bath = you do math.
