only slightly faster than a VTR... nowhere near a 106gti / VTS

Top speed 120mph

106bhp
105lb/ft torque

Faster than a VTR, slower than a VTS/GTi.

Both Shitroen and Pug handle better than Corsa as standard. Sport 1.6 is very fun to drive. i have one. Get a GTi though.

But a 1.6 Corsa rolling on SBD TB's, MBE management and setup somewhere decent would whoop the pants off a VTS/GTi.

you will love it. Heres some fun, find a nice motorway slip road, hold the car at 40mph in 2nd, floor it, change up fast to 3rd and feel theat lovely mid-range pull you all the way to 85mph. Pinned to the seat the whole way 3rd gear is fantastic in the Sport 1.6. Pulls soooo hard!!

They were marginally better, but still considerably slower than a Sport 1.6. they just dont have the torque to pull like the Sport does.
