Hi people, my brothers computer has a really strange problem. Whenever i turn it on, it runs a check disk thing on a blue screen to check for consistency; its gotta go thru 3 stages of checking. Complete 1st stage ok but when it gets to the 2nd it stops at 20% and a blue screen comes up very quickly saying aproblem has occured. Its so quick that u hardly even get to read the problem.

Then all it does is resets itself and goes thru the same thing unless i hit any button to skip the check disk

skip check disk then run a thourough (however its spelt) skandisk thru windows should fix n e problems (will take a while though)

Where can i find the thorough scan disk check cos its not on the xp system tools bit nemore.

Right click over you C Drive and then click on Properties and then Tools.
