what products do you all use to get your engine nice n shiney.
this engine aint been cleaned in 4 years and is in need of some scrubbing.
and as i have 3 days off coming up im gonna clean it.

when i was a valeter we used to get a spray bottle and fill it with parrafin.soak the engine get as much as you can all over it.leave 10 to 15 minutes and jetwash it off.get some plastic cleaner spray it all over and wipe it clean.this should get all the crap off and then finally get some engine laquer and spray it all over the engine bay and engine..hey presto mint engine bay

u could use jizer on the greasy bits n scrub everthin else. can u jet wash ur engine????? i want to do this as the top half is shiny but my gearbox is rank as its had work done down that area so its filfy

i dont reccomend jet washing an engine bay, to many electrical or mechanical parts around.
ive seen autoglym do engine cleaner in a bottle. anyone tried this?

if it was harmful to engine bay why do vauxhall do it after they service your car?

Dunno if its any use, but Tris (infinity Corsa) had his engine bay steamcleaned by a company in kiddy. Only cost him £12, but it looks spotless now, even though the engines done nearly 50k.
Saves the hassle of doing it I suppose

with soapy water and Autoglym tar Remover for the hard bits.

go to halfords and buy the engine cleaning kit you get to cans of spray, you spray the foam on then leave it for 5 min and it takes all the crap off, saves loads of hard work and if your sesible wont mess the engine up. You jet wash it off, just dont get carries away and spend 5 min soaking everything, cover up the elec bits and your laughing. iv done it loads of times and iv never had no probs on my corsa B 90k miles

I use autoglym engine and machinery cleaner followed by vinyl and rubber care, cmes up a treat, this is one of her dirtier times with not the best of cameras but what the hell it looks not bad
