I running a drop of 40 mm all round on spax springs with the standard dampers....there is a sort of clinking sound from both front and rear of the car when going ovr sharp bumps what is this noize and how can i fix it?

shokcs bottoming out due to not being uprated when using lowering springs probably.

it meens your shocks are bottoming out, ie using all there travel.

by using lowering springs on standard shocks you have limited the travel on the suspention upwards by 40mm. you need stiffer/shorter shocks to stop this happening.

seems simple enough so i just rip out the old ones and put in some shiney new ones?

just a quick thing for all the ''low riders'' out there to try. Next time u have ur cars up on jacks get a plastic zip ties n tie it around the shock shafts. Take ur car out for a fang thru some corners then check out how far the zip ties were pushed up. For those with stock shockies... u'll be surprised how easily they'll get bottomed out
