They're a bit 'cool dude' compared to more recent designs. Also make you look like you should be attached to a snowboard and say 'rad' a lot.

Ive got 4 pairs now, cause basically I need the best lenses for my job - Im a sailingand windsurfing instructor and I burnt my retinas 2 years ago out on the water, theyre repaired now but I dont want that pain again -
Theyre worth every penny imo, people will say ur paying for the name but not really - u get top lenses, and brilliant aftercare service. I sat on one of my pairs and snapped the arm and cracked a lens. I got in touch with them and they said to send them to their hq, It cost me £10 in P&P and they came back like new.....
Ive had Bloc, Bolle and cheaaper makes like animal and dirty dogs but Id choose oakleys over evrything else now

This is a good poit. Buy them if you need the functionality. If you want good looking sunglasses, buy somthing else.

i got some - paid £120 for them - they have zero distortion through them as well so they dont hurt your eyes and are UV resistant.

Only if he gets polarizing lenses in them - normal oakley lenses dont do this.
