it would appear that i have had a slight electrical mishap! was drivin along last nite when all of a sudden my stereo went off, all dash lights drained off, and smoke started to pour out from under the dash! my car now has a small odour problem! looks like somethin in my electrical system has burnt out!? any ideas? gonna get it looked at 2nite btw.

hmmm, if the lights faded out it suggests a wire heated up and melted through... which is odd because the fuse should have blown first. Unless you've used wire thats too thin for something.

MFD works, heaters work, lights that flash up on dash work, indicator and headlights etc. seems to just be stereo and lights behind speedo. hooked up a neon in boot instead of the boot light, thought it may have been that.. but that light still works!
